After just a few minutes, she had me driving in one of the busiest areas of town. Sure I still put on the wipers instead of the blinkers every once in a while, but with practice I learned to be confident enjoy my daily commute. [...]

it must be the same outfit, the blue one ( i haven't been to Lahore yet) which is meant to be snazzy but i don't get it, why they don't look smart. May be it's the way they wear it that makes them look like they are not quiet ready to offer their services.

Glad you enjoyed it Muhammad! During my three years in Pakistan I unfortunately never visited Peshawar, although I'd love to in the future.

Policemen don't have snazzy outfits up north? The ones in Lahore have these blue uniforms that make them look really smart, but they must be really hot during the warm months.

it's a common saying in peshawar
"drive as if you are the only one having eyes", but it fits well in each city of pakistan.

if i ever tried to write a story with title "On My Way to Work: Peshawar, Pakistan", the copy paste technique will do the job for me, removing the dupatta story ( as i am not a girl ) and swapping "The smartly dressed policeman" term for "policeman".
