However, I think the best way to go about is if you and a student share a stronger interest outside the classroom, wait until she passes your class (or no longer a student in your class) so it doesn't cause a conflict of interest. And then pick up the relationship from there. After all, if you both are only a few years apart in age, I don't see why it would be wrong. However, some school policies may forbid teachers to have intimate relationships with students (meaning it wouldn't matter if they are not a student in your class but as long they are a student at that school).
