Elaine McMillion is an award-winning documentary storyteller based in Boston, Massachusetts. Her work explores how digital platforms and participatory media can empower local communities. Her current project, Hollow communicates the issues of rural America through the eyes, voices and ideas of Southern West Virginians. McMillion’s work has been featured in The New York Times, The Atlantic, Filmmaker Magazine and Huffington Post. In 2013, Filmmaker Magazine named McMillion one of the 25 New Faces of Independent Film.
