She was born in St. Petersburg, raised in Brooklyn, and is currently living in Boston where she writes about underground music for the Boston Phoenix and works on a documentary project about contemporary folk music across America. She loves basement shows, road trips, psychogeography, discovering new cities, night biking, making lists, and dreaming of being taken to Oz by a fortuitous wind.
