About The Author

Will Boase

Will Boase is a photographer and writer based in Jinja, Uganda, and working throughout the East Africa region. His interest in photography sprung from a teacher who taught B&W techniques in a converted toilet covered in Magnum quotes. He graduated from Sheffield Hallam University, UK, but was not there to collect his degree as he was working in Kabale, on the Rwanda-Uganda border. He works mainly with NGOs and development agencies, but his work has appeared in newspapers, magazines and websites across the world. In his spare time Will is trying to learn Lusoga (not going so well) and working on a project about rural churches in Northern Uganda (going slightly better).
