These are really extraordinary photos ~ I especially like the one with the dog. :)

Mountains are somehow very otherwordly and mysterious … I think that’s why I like them.

Yeah the dog is one of my favs. Seems like he/she is contemplating the view…or even the nature of their doggy existence?

Cool collection of photos. Especially love that one of Everest seen through panes of glass and curtains.

Great collection, and I love the photo of Everest! The mountain in Ireland looks like it would be a bit of a pain to climb, especially on a bare-footed pilgrimage! Where’s Mount Sinai amongst the top ten, though? Muslims, Christians and Jews all believe God revealed the Ten Commandments to Moses there.

I would have never imagined that Mount Olympus in Greece and Mount Agung, in Bail would have such a high elevation. Enjoyed these photos and the captions are very informative.

Ms. Mattador, this is not fine to show the Mount Kailash is in China. Its belong to India, Apart from that your article is good. Kinlyd make sure these kind of things in future.

Thanks for your comment Arun. Mt Kailash, however, IS located in Tibet/China. Please look at this article for reference and to confirm its geographical location:
