A fan-compiled video shares the collected wisdom of Will Smith, revealing the secret to his remarkable success in Hollywood…and life.

If you grew up in the 90′s, it’s likely your after school hours consisted of the following: Saved By The Bell, Full House, and Family Matters. But there was one show that transcended the corny sitcom genre and was actually clever and consistently funny – The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air.

The success of the show was largely the result of Will Smith’s comedic timing and aw-shucks likability. It wasn’t a surprise then when Will made the leap to the big screen, all the while continuing to release non-offensive rap albums, and befriend all of Hollywood.

These days, while many of the top names have dropped off the A-List, Will Smith remains the world’s most bankable star.

What’s the secret? Apparently, it’s that he’s “willing to die on a treadmill.” See what I mean by watching below.

You have to hand it to Will. His obsessive drive has certainly served him well, and offers a number of takeaway truths for any wisdom seeker.

“What’s the point in being realistic?”

Oh my god. I don’t think I could explain my overwhelming love and adoration for Will Smith. I’ve seen all his movies and watched Fresh Prince religiously since I was a kid, to the point where I drove my roommates insane. Part of his appeal to me in Fresh Prince was that his character was totally based on his real-life personality. Like he said, he’s totally not afraid of being himself.

    And he’s handsome to boot.

Always impressed by Will’s intellect and talent in comparison to the rest of Hollywood’s “A-listers”

Nevertheless, I was still disappointed with Hancock :(

Wow, these have been my thoughts and many others , too, I’m sure. Thanks to whomever compiled this video and to all the people who live this truth not just Will.
    Peace and pay it forward….

“There’s no reason to have a plan B because it just distracts from plan A.” I like that. Although not sure if I’ll ever have that much courage.

I used to love him in Fresh Prince and with Jazzy Jeff (hello, Summertime anyone? aww yeah), but when he started becoming the star he is now, I lost interest. I remember reading an article, and he sounded so egotistical, so arrogant.

Watching this though I think he’s starting to grow on me again. Nice work whoever put this together, very inspiring words.

Great video :-) I always liked Will Smith, and now I respect him a lot more too for his intelligence.

Carlo, you say you once thought Will to be egotistical, so arrogant… but is that not a part of his attraction? Does his confidence not have a touch of arrogance to it? If he were not so confident or perhaps arrogant would his messge sound as convincing or as empassioned. Just a few thoughts :) I wish i could speak of my own ideas toward life with as much conviction and resolve!

    • Lynn

Nic, I agree with you. We do have to show confidence and some people mistake that as arrogance. I hope our ideas reach the masses!
