Each Box of Love feeds a family of six and includes a ham or chicken along with vegetables, potatoes, juice, yams, apple or cranberry sauce, bread, fruit, dessert, and more...plus Scriptures and children's literature. Each Box of Love will provide a family in need with a Thanksgiving feast. Warm Wishes!! You can then withdraw the money or give it to another business owner to help that person get started. Oh .... and as a former bartender ..... your tips truly do reach someone who needs it. It's so easy to forget sometimes that there is always someone worse off than you. I liked how you compared the tips we give barstaff with how carefully we consider charity - someone pointed out to me a few years ago that if I added up the cost of my daily coffee, I could probably feed a family somewhere. It was a pretty embarrassing conversation and really made me rethink some things. kiva sounds pretty interesting too Amanda, thanks for the info! Great article! That business helps that person and then helps the community ( the business might employ people for example ). It's truly a ripple effect charity and it's a very powerful concept of giving. You are letting someone help themself by giving them that initial investment to get started. Check out Kiva.org
