I am so glad that people are finally getting informed about what is happening in the Ecuadorian rain forest because of oil companies. I lived with a community down there called the Achuar for a couple months, and the stories they tell about how they were cheated out of their land, health and way of life are horrible. Title is right on–I'd only heard of 2 of these. The SE Asia picture brings back memories of the terrible "yellow haze" of Gobi sand and Chinese pollution that drifts over Korea each April. Shocking stuff!

I wonder if you could add the 1984 Bhopal Gas Leak to this list. After all it did affect the environment and more than 500,000 people who were exposed to the deadly toxic methyl isocyanate gas released by the Union Carbide Factory in the city of Bhopal in the Indian State of Madhya Pradesh.
