		<description>Man, AFS takes me back to high school! Although I didn&#039;t go abroad with them, I traveled to other parts of the US as a part of their exchange program (and sold a BUNCH of oranges over three years :). Reading your piece actually triggered me about how those trips eventually led to me studying abroad in Italy in college - and then deeming it necessary to travel to as many places in the world as I could after graduating from college. You never know what those initial trips will lead to in the long run...</description>

For me, travel began on those first few trips camping with my folks. Driving through the woods, looking out the window as the mountains reared up ahead, those moments of awe were direct precursors for my adult love of adventure and the unknown.
