Great Article!

Up here in Midland, Ontario Canada we have started our own Bike Day event called Dock to Dock and hope to grow it every year and promote bike culture and awareness. 2 of us came up with the idea last year and we had over 100 riders come out for the event.... this year more people and businesses are involved and we hope to get over 200 riders for the event...

All it takes is some commitment and passion and others who are like-minded will eventually come on board. Hopefully in 5 years we can have a BIKE WEEK up here in our small town!

Go Bikes!

Carlo-

I was just at a bike film festival here in NYC earlier this week and there was lots of excitement about the cycling movement gaining momentum-- perhaps finally catching up to the West Coast of the US! A few local advocates and activists noted that a new city Department of Transportation director did quite a bit to advance the movement by fast-tracking the installation of bike lanes around the city... I'd still like to see fewer cars here, though!

Yay...biking! Not sure how it is where you are, but the cycling movement here in Melbourne seems to be gaining a lot of momentum.
