A LOT OF THE MATERIALS WE USE on a daily basis as humans are not great for the environment. Gasoline, for example, is not a great thing to pump into the atmosphere, and the plastics we use for our bottles aren’t particularly good for our planet, especially when they end up clogging our oceans. But one material we frequently use combines these two things into an unholy abomination that is a nightmare for the environment:

Styrofoam. Styrofoam, or plastic foam, is made with petroleum, and it is terrible for the environment in just an insane number of ways. Wheels for Wishes, part of the Make a Wish Foundation, put together this infographic explaining why we should be cutting back our use of styrofoam as much as humanly possible.
