No teaching experience is needed in Taiwan and actually some schools prefer 'fresh off the boat' teachers, this way they can mold you into their way of teaching. Some teachers would also say that they will also be able to take advantage of you easier and make you do extra work for free etc.
Either way, you can still come here without a TEFL /TESL qualification.

Hi Julie,

I'd like to think my website has some pretty good info for teaching ESL in Asia.

http://www.teacheslinasia.com/

Basically it details all the countries and leaves it up to you to decide. If you want safety and recruiters I'd go Japan, Taiwan or Korea. But I think Vietnam sounds good for the amount of money you can make.

If you have a problem with a specific photo, please e-mail me at julie@matadornetwork.com and include the URL. We strive to use Creative Commons photos that are available for commercial license; occasionally, we make errors and occasionally photographers change the status of photos after we've used them. We are, however, happy to replace photos when these are brought to our attention. Thanks.

You should add different photos to this article. The ones you used explicitly forbid commercial usage.

Not sure if you know the Pueblo Ingles program but it was an awful experience. I would not recommend it.
