I love astral projection and find it a wonderful way to connect to who I am, a way to find out the truth of our existence for myself.
So what is astral projection? It is sometimes refered to as going out-of-body, or having an out-of-body experience. The terms are generally used interchangeably. It is the state where your body remains asleep and your energy body appears to leave your physical body. I say ‘appears to leave your physical body’ as it is really a journey inwards. It is all about perspective.
The world is energy, so we are told, we are energy though at times when we are in the physical body it may be difficult to believe.
“There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio,
Than are dreamt of in your philosophy.”
- Hamlet (1.5.166-7), Hamlet to Horatio
Indeed life is a lot more complex than we are led to believe, if we could see all the energy connections that surround us I’m sure we would be amazed. When we astral project we are using our energy body to travel, our physical body is asleep but we are fully conscious as if we were awake in the physical. When it first happens it can be a bit shocking depending on a person’s belief system, it can also be an incredible awakening as you realise that you can exist outside of your physical body. So we do survive death, consciousness continues and life continues, this can be a revelation as well as a relief.
My path towards finding out who I am has taken me down this particular path, it has taken me into the astral and beyond to discover my true being. It has been, and is, proving to be a journey full of surprises, fascination and wonder as well as a challenge as you come face to face with many aspects of yourself.
I have travelled physically in my life to a few countries as an English teacher, kitchen helper, grape-picker and hitch-hiker and had many wonderful adventures but my inner journeys have been truly amazing.
