Ramblings of a blissful soul
lazyyy holiday.jpg
The perfect setting for a Wordsworth poem…A house in the midst of wilderness, a brook by it, a little village in the distance, a lone sole perched on a rock with pen and paper trying to capture the moment.
the peace is astounding, the lack of pollution bewildering
A hammock, the swing, a bridge and Kaccha road
the endless walks- togetherness and separation
the sharing and bickering, the constant clickety click of cameras in the background;
the rustling in the bush, the horny toads and innocent tadpoles;
the scurrying ants and and buzzing bees, the gigantic mosquitoes, feared snakes and alleged leopards;
the intoxication of the sweet smelling flowers, a 300 feet well and crackling of garam with a constant need to eat;
time to leave, bid goodbye- to all friends real and imaginary;
one last puff, one last speck of red in the distance (dragonfly)
A weekend of experimentation and innovation
(crushed garlic for dinner and manual grinding of pepper,
the rolling of tea and incessant burning ahem grilling of veges)
and the insane fishing for the lemon in the algae
All in all a melange of emotions and fun
or rather a filling and satisfying Khichidi
farewell to one and all the other cattle
Ah the bliss of utter laziness and
refusal to move even an inch is sure sublime
If you are looking for the perfect getaway and hideout
an absolute stress buster and a vacation that you can do whatever you want- be it cycling or lazying round or bathing in the brook or just hanging with friends or looking for peace
the place to be is khardi…
its near bombay, India
