Off from the beaten path on a vietnamese motorbike!
Crossing from Vietnam to Ban Lung (Cambodia) in a vietnamese motorbike then heading to some unpaved and unsupported roads by Google Maps in Cambodia
The first Part of the bike trip was with another friend from France “FX” who is based in Hanoi, he had the idea of riding the motorbikes trough some rice fields and local villages , it was awesome!
and then we found a local guest house, where we were the first foreigners hosted on that place. The staff were so happy for having us that night, and definitely, they made our experience so unique!
We were Invited to a dinner to the owner’s family at night and also to a local breakfast at the next morning.
One of the dishes on the menu: Pork’s Blood for breakfast
Honestly, It was not a real pleasure to test this local dish in the morning, but we didn’t want to be rude that day and we tried it.
It is still difficult for us to have even noodles for breakfast as most of the locals do.
We found out that the pork was “very fresh” as they killed the pig after midnight, and of course, the weird scream of the pig woke us up. Such inappropriate time for killing a pig in guest house!
