Mariana Espinosa is Industrial Engineer, graduated from Engineering Faculty from the Autonomous University of Baja California MEXICO, Actually she is coursing a Master in Business Administration in ITESM, was formerly working for the American Fundraising Association as Fundraiser. She has coursed different diplomas on Strategies for the Conservation by Nature Conservancy and ITESM- She was a Peace and Trust Scholar by IDP which gave her the opportunity to study part of her career in Australia. Her research field focused in environmental studies, solid waste management, and social entrepreneurship. In 2009 she was awarded the municipality youth prize and in the same year the state youth prize for her work in the youth initiatives, social work and research in the environmental field. She was recognized by the World Bank as of the best international essay authors, also she represented Mexico in different International Forums in Turkey, China and Germany, volunteered in a United Nation Program in Cambodia. Recently she received the National Social Development Entrepreneur 2010 Prize by the Valle de México University, Award by the SEMARNAT and IMJUVEN in the contest “Break with the climate change”, Prize Be the Change by Peace Child International. In the work field she has been actively participating in non government organizations as “Haciendo lo Necesario A.C” (Doing the necessary NGO- Environmental activities) where she was Director from 2009-2010, she collaborated as Project Engineer in the National Project “Ver bien para Aprender Mejor” managed by SEP (Public Education Ministry), she was academic and technician at Autonomous University of Baja California, she was journalist in local newspapers publishing more than 200 articles focused in social topics, In 2009 she was coordinator for the Engineering Faculty in the program Assistance to Small Enterprise managed by the Economic Development Ministry and Autonomous University of Baja California, she collaborated in private companies where she developed different optimization programs including sustainable development.
