I am storage engineer by profession. Travel has always been my passion. From October 27, 2012 to November 30, 2012 I will attempt a 10,000 Kilometer solo drive across India. I will drive my Ford Hatchback car from Bangalore till the southern tip of India -Rameshwaram. From Rameshwaram I will drive to north – to the northern most state of India Jammu and Kashmir via the west coast of India (across the full length of the Indian subcontinent). Post that I will travel the route from Jammu to Bulandshahr (Uttar Pradesh) and Delhi and stay at Bulandshahr and Delhi for 5 days to celebrate the grand Indian festival of lights – “Diwali”. Finally I make my return trip to Bangalore via central India. I will be covering my epic journey across India via this blog on Matador Network and also on my personal blog and travelogue – Indian Road Trip. I will try to keep the solo road trip as adventurous as possible. The three adventurous places included in my travel route is a visit to Jaisalmer, Rajasthan where I get to travel across the great Indian desert – Thar Desert; visit to the deserted (and “claimed to be” haunted) city of Bhangargh, Rajasthan and camp at Jim Corbett National Park for 2 days.
