A Romantic First Kiss
For any new readers or if you happened to miss it, I wrote a post last fall about a romantic day with an amazing woman in Panama where I was smitten and my heart stopped when we kissed.
It got a surprising amount of views which was nice to see. Along with that I had a lot of people asking me outside of the website if it was true. I would get questions about that specific day and also questions as to whether or not I’ve had other similar moments.
I always tell people that I’ve always thought of my life as being filled with back to back “movie moments”. You know, those moments when the place and time that you’re living in resonate with exactly what you want and where you want to be.
It’s like a smooth yet climactic build up to one perfect moment. There is no other way but for it to happen how it’s happening as it’s happening.
I answered those questions with a yes. I’ve had other moments and temporary bouts of romance when on the road and at home.
One of those moments, which as to date is my most romantic first kiss, was requested by a reader to be written on my site.
So here it is dear friend and reader. A post about my most romantic first kiss.
The Introduction
I had had a crush (middle school style, cheesy, I know) on her for over a year. We attended the same university and were in similar social circles. We had met a couple of times, but had only exchanged hellos.
She was an incredible woman. Her eyes were filled with joy and life. She was such a free spirit that seemed to brighten up everybody around her wherever she went.
I was always so hesitant to talk to her. She was probably one of the first women that I was intimidated by. She was beautiful, intelligent, caring and had traveled as much if not more than I had. The fact that she seemed to have guys flocking to her made it more nerve-racking for me to muster up the courage to one day talk to her.
The number exchange
It had been over a year since I first met her and we only on occasions had exchanged pleasantries.
It was a weekend night and I had just parked my car to head to the local bars with some friends. She happened to arrive at the same time.
We chit chatted for a bit, talked travel and adventure and then I mentioned how I was trying to plan a sky diving trip. She was wanting to do the same. I suggested we exchange numbers, get some friends and make something happen.
We never went sky diving but ended up talking and getting to know each other.
The first few dates
I know I know… FEW. I liked this girl and over those dates I had multiple chances to make my move. I wanted to kiss her and I know she wanted me to too.
The moments weren’t good enough though.
I had an idea of how I wanted the moment to feel and being as stubborn as I am I waited.
