I can't stomach Dickens, so I went to see A Christmas Carol in theatres last night. It was great!

One of my favorite stories is "A Christmas Memory" by Truman Capote. It is a wonderful story of friendship. A good friend gave me this book as a gift several years ago and remains a favorite. Some NPR stations will a reading of the story on Christmas Day.

When I was in London during the holidays a few years ago, I was completely in the Christmas spirit so I read A Christmas Carol to get me in the spirit. It felt doubly nice because I was in London reading a classic British author.

I want to check out the Henrik Ibsen play, though. Sounds interesting!

Still love an Xmas Carol. It's probably sacrilege to write "Xmas."
