The perfect lightweight multipurpose tool for any job.

Photo: Leatherman

The Leatherman Wave is a classic multi-tool.

Simple to use, loaded with 17 tools, and dependable, I carry my Leatherman around everywhere. I have one in my car, in my backpack, and one for the house.

The tools on the Leatherman are designed for efficiency. Every tool is strong enough to do the job intended and light enough to carry around. The Leatherman Wave is the definition of multipurpose. Designed to save weight, maybe even your life.

The Wave is 4 inches long, weighs in at 8.5 ounces, and has a 2.9 inch blade.

When it was redesigned in 2004, Leatherman gave it a larger blade, stronger pliers, longer wire cutters, and locking blades.

I bought the Skeletool, which I love…but I wish it did more. Two things I used a lot on my Swiss Army knife were the flat screwdriver as a pry bar (wider surface than the Skeletool driver bit) and the awl/punch tool.

The Wave looks like maybe too many tools. But I’ve seen a Wave put to impressive use de-girdling barbed-wire wrapped oak trees.

PHIL… you can never have too many tools… remember…

“IT IS BETTER TO HAVE AND NOT NEED, THAT TO NEED AND NOT HAVE”

My Leatherman collection has travelled with me from Northamerica to Southamerica and back, and I have to admit that without it, I am lost. What you need to check out is the LEATHERMAN SURGE. Trust me, you will love it !!!

I won’t be able to think of my wave from this day forward without also getting this commercial voice saying “4 inches of perfection!” at the same time.
