		<description>Cool list! I&#039;m with you for the most part, though The Old Man and the Sea felt suspiciously like punishment when I read it in high school. It&#039;s the only Hemingway I&#039;ve ever met that I didn&#039;t enjoy...    As far as children&#039;s travel/adventure books go, &quot;Swallows and Amazons&quot; was huge for me. Also any number of pirate/shipwreck/castaway stories. And of course, there&#039;s Narnia.  </description>
