Just to let the world know a few first words... My brother and I go hiking and camping in Pennslvania, along several "new" trails and old ones, like the Laurel Highlands.. We are very "Seasoned" trail people...

We always did take interest in the "Survivorman" TV Series, Invented by "Les Stoud" from Canada... In the past few years, we have travelled more than 30 times through the PA wilderness and hiking trails, through thick and thin...

But then suddenly, my brother bought the book "Survive! Essential Skills and Tactics to Get You Out of Anywhere—Alive."..

I was completely astonished to see the book was very well written and illustrated for the best survival techniques... Some of which I already knew, "which made me giggle" and others, I hadn't though of...

Les Stroud has done an amazing service for "all people" to put his life and limb on the line to bring us his adventures and book so well documented and put together for all types of people, from amateur to expert...

Out of all the "survival" and "camping" books I own, this one, which my brother and I both have, is a "MUST" own, book...

It is SO well done, and thought of, that his videos and book have both saved our lives countless times, it should be at the "least" fans could do, is own this book...

Fantantistic....

Don't pass it up, while it's still being printed....

Thanks for the comment, Robyn. I'm a bit cynical about the "gloom and doom" reports myself. I was talking with an artist tonight, and we agreed that it always seems like society is on the brink of something bad. Maybe the media frames it that way. Maybe we really are. Who knows?

I've been getting more and more interested in survivalism, especially considering climate change and the media's non-stop doom and gloom reports. Thanks for the recommending reading!
