One of the things I always used to take with me when traveling was my headlamp.

It may look funny but it’s so useful when you need to get something out of your bag or tent in the middle of the night and you really need both hands.

Sadly, a fellow traveler thought the same thing and stole it out of my backpack.

Also, padlocks for that very reason!
