    Great tips!

I did the “throwaway clothes” thing when I went to Trinidad. Took a steel drum case full of shorts and tank tops on the way there, then threw them out right before I left to make room for my shiny new drum. :)

Dont forget to check the wieght allowed on ALL the airlines you are going to use ,, not all are the same, and especially outside the USA .. for instance here in New Zealand most airlines only allow 7 kg (about 15 pound) as hand luggage so coose a very light suitcase!

How about instead of throwing away those clothes, you give them away to some people who could really use some new threads.

Great tips indeed! Especially if you’re on a tight schedule and don’t want to waste time checking your luggage in. I agree with you, Andy, on the throwing clothes away matter. There are charity shops everywhere. I guess.
