I just got out of the shower, so now I’m only wearing one layer of wool. 30 minutes ago I was wearing merino bra and boxer, woolnet long underwear and a midweight layer of merino – and wool socks, of course Up here in the arctic we’re currently experiencing the first day of sleet and snow…
I haven’t tried any smartwool yet, but i seriously love all my icebreakers. Deadly expensive, even on sale, but they last forever! I’ve worn one of my icebreakers pretty much everyday for 18 months now, and it’s still good as new. many other brands i just wear right through after a year or so… Nothing beats wool!

Theres nothing like running in wool, especially in Sweden, where its really cold, several moths of the year!

HELLO! what about Icebreaker? I practically live in their wool clothing. Its expensive, but not much more so than Smartwool, and they have everything from T-shirts to pants.

After a month in New Zealand, we don’t underestimate the wonder of merino wool. I have two Icebreaker sweaters and one MacPac sweater and they are incredibly warm, soft, but cooling on hot days. If you are heading to New Zealand, buy your merino wool there, because sweaters are significantly cheaper than in the U.S. (I bought a heavy merino wool MacPac sweater for $30 USD).
