I read “The God of Small Things” for a world lit class in university, and the story has stayed with me ever since.

I’ve read “The junglebook”, “Atonement”, “Pride & Prejudice” and “The Great Gatsby” and found all of them very entertaining.

@ Candice : that’s great! I didn’t know that The God of Small Things was part of a world lit course :) Where did you go to for school?

@ Ben: They’re lovely books, all of them :)

I attended Memorial University of Newfoundland, and I just realized that “Midnight’s Children” was also used for the course, hahaha. Seems you would have liked the class!

Great list! Salmon Rushdie is one of my favorite authors, with Midnight’s Children I feel is one of his best.

I also love Orhan Pamuk’s novel Snow. So much depth to his writing. I have to read Red soon.

I wrote a blog post of some of the best travel-related books from people that work at our company. In case you need some inspiration on you next book choice! http://bit.ly/hKsOO
