The key with gadgets is knowing which ones to leave behind.  I&#039;m a weight reduction specialist and try to travel with a 12-13 kg backpack.  On my recent month long travel writing trip to Indonesia, I decided to trust the internet infrastructure of a 3rd wolrld country and use internet cafes instead of bringing my own laptop.  In some places, this was the only and easiest option.  I wrote more about the pitfalls of blogging from the road here:

However, my favourite all time travel gadget is not a still or video camera - it&#039;s the Remote Controlled Fart Machine.  I wrote a post about it and the implications of using it a while ago, but it&#039;s still relevant!
