Today’s travel book suggestion comes from Matador community member, J.Moreland Travels.

The Devil’s Cup is an account of the author’s travels through Africa, Europe, and South America in search for the perfect cup of coffee.

He also explains the history of the beverage and its impact on the evolution of modern culture.

It is written in such a hilarious tone with interesting (and sometimes ridiculous) stories of crossing borders and immersing one’s self in completely different cultures.

His somewhat sarcastic style is entertaining while the material remains insightful.

I enjoyed reading about someone traveling with such a specific motivation.

You also learn a lot about different parts of the world, and how various cultures influence each other.

If you’re interested in travel and hot beverages, this book is a must-read!
