"Crucial" to pack light for a SEA trip? Not really. Simply better. Always feel sorry for those overloaded everything but the kitchen sink backpackers.

I just recently bought one of these, sick of packing around a sleeping bag in the off-season and tired of paying to rent sheets in too many hostels. I think that a sleeper who does much thrashing might be uncomfortable, as they are sort of narrow, but it will be a must-pack next time I travel abroad. Also works nicely as a sleeping bag liner, keeps it clean while also adding some warmth if necessary.
