I would use the backpack for any of my many day hikes in Boone, NC. Having a pack for easy use that I can keep nearby and ready to go for whenever I want. I can just grab it and go!

With any luck, I’ll be using this sucker in South America 2010! I love my current pack…but as far as water protection goes, it’s as useful as an umbrella during a hurricane.

My day pack was “adopted” by someone else (without permission), so I really need a new day pack for use when we travel, for bike trips, and for trail hiking (day trips). This one’s got some really fantastic features (like waterproofing), and if I don’t win it, I think I may just go buy one!

I can think of a billion things that I could use this pack for, but mostly I’ll use it to store my gear on hiking trips…..

I’d use the RKV to continue my travels around the world (3.5 years and counting). My old pack gave up the ghost and while I’ve replaced the main pack, I’m still a daypack down.
