AND THE WINNER IS…

@SharonJayneLee – “I love yoga. I have been practicing yoga for 8 years and I find myself inspired by my practice every time I am on the mat. Through yoga, I have learned to open my heart, to be truly conscious and to accept the present – and I’ve applied these lessons in my daily life, off the mat. It’s this constant inspiration that led me to start my journey as a yoga teacher and to spread this light to others. Now, I volunteer my time and offer free prenatal lessons to underserved populations that normally would not have access to yoga classes.”

We’ll be contacting her directly to send her the prAna Women’s Yoga Kit.

    For my girlfriend who want to start yoga !

  • http://www.ieatmypigeon.wordpress.com Liv

    I first tried yoga while I was living in Japan. While I loved the stretches, my insecurities about my Japanese language abilities made me miss all of the relaxation benefits. I quit after 5 very expensive classes. Back home in New York, I’ve taken it up again – and regularly this time! I’ve been going about once a week all summer and I adore it. I never feel so powerful as when I’m dripping with sweat and executing a move I couldn’t do the week before. Yoga makes me feel brave, proud, strong, and healthy – things I don’t always feel in my every day life. That my arms are finally getting a bit more toned is just the icing on the cake.

    While staying at an eco-resort in Tulum, I was trying to get my money’s worth (for a $30/night, sand floor cabana :) so I attended the included sunrise yoga classes. The hour and half workouts kicked my butt, but turned my vacation into the longest, most relaxing week of my life. I’m still no expert, but I’m a convert! I do yoga often, my husband is now trying it–though he would kill me if he knew I was posting that on a public forum–and we are looking forward to yoga-ing during our future travels in order to meet people and get into relaxation mode. I would love to look like I know what I’m doing!

  • Dee Laamann

  • mary

    @mkfanto

    It’s not just an exercise but a way of life. Yoga is the perfect blend of flexibility and strength and touches mind, body and soul. it also makes you want to touch your toes at least once every hour! Might as well look good while you are doing it! ;)

  • http://www.tabs-examinedlife.com/ Tabatha Smith

    @tabexamineslife
    My luggage allowance for moving home after five years of living in Australia was only 32 kilos. This unfortunately means my much loved and much used yoga mat was left behind. A new one and the other cool gear to go along with it would be great! Pick me, pick me!!!

    My current yoga gear is from Lidl [budget UK supermarket]! So I could do with this…

  • http://www.surfergrl.co.uk Kat

    @surfergrl
    I love yoga’s inclusiveness – anyone can do it, it’s non-competitive and everyone benefits from it. Make my surfing stronger and more flexible, and the same for my head. You can’t stress while you’re focusing on an asana!

  • Jessica Vance

    This will make me look like a workout star even if I skipped Yoga for coffee on the porch. :-)

If I win this, I will have my own equipment and don’t have to borrow pieces anymore! Yoga really helps me with increasing my flexibility and weight loss goals…

  • http://www.imedge.net Carolyn Wilman

    I have exercised off and on over the years. I am really liking yoga this year as even on tired days I can do it. I only have 1 yoga outfit. I really could use more and these items are so beautiful! I can see myself in Mountain Pose in them right now :)

    i had a dream this morning about yoga.. there were a bunch of guys in tight clothes with yoga mats lining up for class. when i woke up, the word “prana” was echoing through my my mind. i got out of bed, turned on the laptop and looked and called a couple local yoga schools for yoga teacher info. then i got on twitter and found this! :) i love yoga cause it has opened my mind as well as body up for peace

  • Lindsay Anvik

    @lindsayanvik I do yoga for the spiritual/mental/emotional benefits. I find that it helps me quiet my mind (and my mind can be very noisy between work and family and friends). It allows me to be in the “present”. Sure, my arms are more toned, but the best part is that my spiritual self is getting a work out. I’m forced to forget about everything and enjoy the present and present challenges that yoga hands me every time I practice.

  • Kurtis

    Yoga is great for breath work and relaxing!

    @lovestoclimb

    I would give this to my wife but would secretly wear it while she’s out to look pretty.

    I love yoga because it makes you slow down & relax!

  • laura

    I am just begining with yoga, I’m hoping to ease my upper back and neck pain as well as helping me to destress. Also been reading a little about doggy yoga, hoping it will help my blue heeler with his anxiety issues. He was a rescue pup who spent 3 months in a shelter, that can be terribly traumatic for a puppy.

  • http://ovenzest.blogspot.com Jenna

    @jennablu

    Yoga is an incredibly powerful method to transform the way in which I feel about both myself and the world. By adopting a holistic view on the way my body works and moves, I can not only see, but understand how every person in the world is commonly related. We all have two arms, two legs and I believe we all fundamentally want the same simple thing from life: to be happy. That and to perform a killer Downward Dog.

  • Barbara M

    @JalapenoMama
