Once when in Germany I was explaining that I lived on a farm, and wanted to tell my friend’s little brother he could “feed” horses there… but I ended up telling him that he could “eat” horses. Oops! He was a little shocked.

This is an absolutely amazing giveaway! I would give these two books to my nephews, so they are able to start learning some spanish. You can never start too early!

I inadvertently insulted my boyfriend’s grandmother in Ecuador when I addressed her with the informal you instead of the formal. That’s what happens when it’s been 8 years since your last Spanish class and you haven’t used it since!
