Excellent, inspiring article – an additional benefit to CSA food purchasing, learning new recipes – you get introduced to some foods that may be a bit unfamiliar , but recipes abound online and from your farmer.

Excellent resource. One of our goals for the summer is to find out about local CSAs and farmers markets. This article was a good reminder to get on top of that!

Thanks! Gina-so true. Our farmer seems to favor purple, and I’m always delighted at the varieties of violet veggies (beans, cauliflower, peppers) we receive. Manu, good luck finding or putting something together. Not sure how it works in India, but supposedly CSAs got started in Japan and Switzerland, so are certainly not an exclusively American concept.

We just joined our local CSA. Delicioiusness once a week! What I really like about it is the different varieties of every vegetable – much different than the ones in the grocery stores! Love our red rocket carrots filled with lutein!
