Sometimes moving to a new home and if you have to do some renovations, It is really not necessarily to follow your plans because you will really encounter some changes anywhere in the renovation period.Just be yourself and equpiped yourself with patience.

I can relate to number four. My dad has become somewhat of a master at walking into a Home Depot and picking up only what he needs.

On the other hand, I’m a five-year-old at a theme park in home improvement stores: I want to try everything and do everything. Thank God I don’t own a house right now, otherwise the light fixtures might be getting changed every other week.

One of the things I learned when we moved into our house and started doing renovations is that we had to be realistic. There were some things we could do just fine – painting, putting in a new kitchen sink – but other things are better left to professionals. For example, we tried to do the landscaping for our backyard on our own, and it’s just a random mess now. This year we’ll probably finally break down and pay someone to do it right, which we should have done in the first place.
