You know that horrible moment when you’re rocking out in the car and you pull up next to someone at a stoplight? That horrible feeling of suddenly having to shut up and pretend you were just casually and coolly drumming on your steering wheel, and not about to absolutely nail Freddie Mercury’s falsetto in “Somebody to Love”? What if you went the other way with it, and tried to get the car next to you to sing along? TJ Smith, an LA-based comedian, did that while sitting in the city’s notoriously bad traffic by blasting “Build Me Up Buttercup” and trying to get other commuters to join in.
And it turns out people love to sing in traffic, and are totally willing to sing along with you. So stop being bashful during your commute home. Start a karaoke party on the freeway.
