I went to an amazing ramen shop in harajuku.. I dont know the name :( it was ( as I remember :/) near the station, on the left hand corner at the top of the biiiig shopping street ! It was very small, had a vending ticket machine by the door, and a poster saying that various american presidents had eaten there...

I had tonkotsu ramen

Anyway, it was amazing. I had lived in Japan for 3 mnths at that point, about to leave, and had eaten a LOT of ramen :)

Without a doubt this was the best I had :)

CONGRATULATIONS! This is probably the most useful thing I have ever read! The first thing-truly first ting- I do when I arrive in Japan is to go to a ramen shop. If I can;t wait, I settle with the airport's restaurant! LOVE ramen! thank u for the recommendations!!

Great article! I just got back from Japan and am in love with tsukemen ramen. I've been trying, unsuccessfully, for some time to contact Yasube for franchising opportunities, does anyone have any contact with these folks. (I don't speak/write Japanese) =(
