After first confirming that this housewife is indeed “normal” and well-balanced (by using a series of psychological tests), she is given a dose of LSD (acid) and then interviewed. Her answers are outstanding.

In a separate interview, philosopher Gerald Heard — who is no stranger to the drug himself — said this about LSD:

Suddenly you notice that there aren’t these separations, that we’re not on a separate island shouting across to somebody else and trying to hear what they’re saying and misunderstanding them. You know…empathy. This thing’s flowing underneath; we’re parts of a single continent. In meets underneath the water…and with that goes such delight.

If that’s what it takes to understand we’re all part of a single source, maybe we should be putting this in the water supply.
