For those of you who travel fully wired, the airport internet service provider, Boingo, is offering a promotion for iPhone and iTouch owners: 15 minutes of free wireless service in exchange for watching a 15 second advertisement. Participating airports are listed below:

United Kingdom: EDI, GLA, LHR, LGW, SOU, STN
North America: AZO, BNA, BWI, DTW, EWR, HOU, IAH, JFK, LGA, MDW, MEM, MKE, MSP,
OAK, OKC, ORD, SDF, SJU, SLC, STL, YOW, YYZ.

The offer has no set end-date.

    That's pretty cool – although my dealings with Boingo are less than amazing. They have this nasty habit of billing you multiple times if you access their network from two different airports…but in the same day. Sneaky sneaky…

    Hey Ian – Yeah, I've never used Boingo myself, but just in general I've been underwhelmed by the reliability of these types of services so far. I suppose it's a work in progress…

    @Ian – there was a problem with that, and it has been fixed. If you flag it to our customer service people, they do refund the double-billing. Sorry you had that experience.

    @Eva Holland – we test both our network and our partner networks so that they hit certain guidelines that we have in place for our customers. With 100K hotspots worldwide, we strive to bring reliable and speedy WiFi connections.
