Nice interview, and great initiative by Paul! It’s close to what we’re doing at Spotted by Locals Berlin (and 22 other cities), and I’d love to promote this initiative .

JoAnna- Agreed on all counts. I really knew very little about Berlin before looking through STB and reading Paul’s responses; I certainly didn’t know about the courses and it seems like such a fun way to meet people, get into the culture of a city, and learn something new!

I’ve enjoyed poking around Paul’s site as Berlin is a place I’d really like to visit some day. I like the idea that people are starting to create guides that encourage people to slow down and really get in-depth with a place. I’m excited to check out the site once the course listings are up; that sounds like an interesting way to explore the city.
