I read somewhere that Robert Plant once called Burton Cummings one of the greatest rock vocalists of all time...

Truthfully, though, I was going to mention the Weakerthans instead, but wasn&#039;t sure how well known they are outside of Canada. Tim, if you can get your hands on Da Capo Best Music Writing 2003, it has a fantastic piece on the band and their connection with the city - could even be described as travel writing, at a stretch. It&#039;s called &quot;City Still Breathing&quot; and was originally published in Geist, but it&#039;s not in their online archive. I think you&#039;d like it!</description>
