Know what an ornithopter is? Neither did I. It’s an aircraft that flies by flapping its wings. Todd Reichert — an engineering student from the University of Toronto — flew for 19.3 seconds, becoming the first person in history to achieve this feat. The aircraft weighed 92.59 lbs and Todd had to lose 18 lbs during a one-year preparation for the flight.
