Leave only footprints behind.

Recently, National Geographic’s Center for Sustainable Destinations and Ashoka’s Changemakers collaborated in creating the Geotourism Challenge.

From the press release:

The online contest was created to discover and support entrepreneurs with innovative approaches to geotourism, defined as tourism that sustains or enhances the geographical character of a place — its environment, culture, aesthetics, heritage and the well-being of its residents.

Now, fifteen finalists have been announced, and the competition needs your votes to select the three winners.

Swing by the contest site to check out the innovative, sustainable projects that are being built around the world, then vote for your favorites. Competition closes on Wednesday, June 11.
