There’s BASE jumping and there’s free diving. Now combine the two.
When we passed this video of world champion free diver Guillaume Nery around the Matador Sports team this week, the response was universal:
“Did you see this? This is AMAZING!”
In the video, Nery free dives at Dean’s Blue Hole, the deepest blue hole in the world. When I watched it, I found myself thinking it was like watching a lyrical ballet. Nery makes free diving BASE jumping look simple. Consider the fact that the person who filmed this video, Julie Gautier, also held her breath when filming Nery, and the video seems even more incredible.
