I love Portugal, and plan on going back soon so maybe I'll check out one of these hostels next time... In addition to hostels, Portugal's got some great pensãos, cheap hotels. I found some that were just as inexpensive as hostels, or only a couple Euros more. Had my own room in the center of Coimbra for 13 Euros! I stayed in the Peniche hostel in October; it ruled.
