We went to bikesandwine where a 20 something argentinian fluent in English helped us out, recommended some great spots and how much we’d expect to pay at each spot. Upon returning we lounged a bit and enjoyed some of the home-made malbec that a friend makes complimentary. Amazing trip, warning though, about 2km of the street is TORE UP.

also forgot.. had some friends who i talked to and they all think bikesandwines is the bomb.. gotto go there and rent some bikes!!!

I rented a bike from BikesandWines and i would say to everyone, you gotta come do this.. i would defe recommend bikesandwines to anyone who would love to be able to drink and drive.

Cool piece, Hal. I just did a bike + wine tour in Mendoza. We went with BikesandWine, even though we had heard good things at Mr. Hugo’s. (Bikesandwine offered transport to and from our hosteria). Bikesandwine was overpriced, but the luxury of not having to take the bus was nice. The only technical issue I had was the chain came off my bike mid-way through. Thankfully we had dutchman in our group who fixed it in 2.5 seconds. If you take the bus just be sure to have change! Some poor guys had no change and have to take a really expensive taxi back to Mendoza since the bus didn’t accept bills.

Great piece. I love Mendoza and Argentina has some great (and cheap) wine, glad to see I’m not the only one that thinks so.
