While it is undoubtedly an absolute eyesore it's not actually the country's Parliament. It is the executive wing, with the actually quite attractive Edwardian parliament building adjacent to it. This Parliament building was only originally half-built, and when it came time to complete it during the 1960's the government decided they'd build something more "modern" instead.
