Great list! I was lucky enough to visit Volubilis a couple of years ago, and it absolutely blew me away - it's an entire city that's amazingly well preserved (mosaics abound in the ruins of houses and baths) and definitely rivals parts of the Roman Forum, yet it was nearly deserted when I went and entrance only cost 1€! What a deal....although they were in the process of building a museum when I went, which (if completed) has surely drawn bigger crowds.

The one site I might add to this list would be the Etruscan tombs in Tarquina, Italy. While the site isn't that striking on the surface, visitors can go down into the tombs and see really well preserved wall paintings. The Etruscans (forerunners to the Romans) were famous for their decadence and notorious for their hedonism, and the scenes they painted definitely show it!
