I like your photo style. I too gave up the mini-tripod for hand-held night shots (surprised how still I could hold the camera). It gives the shots a very vérité effect.

these are wonderful, so full of amazing and specific details that get at the essence of the city. and i definitely love that it’s also a sort of mediation on typography. very cool.

I take photos without a tripod on very slow shutter speeds and sometimes I’m lucky (meaning that I like the results). I like the element of chance in working like that. I know they’re grainy, but I’m going for a feeling more than I am a perfectly executed razor sharp image.
