G'day

Thanks so much for this article, it's a great start for figuring out where to surf in my upcoming trip...

I'm leaving Australia in two weeks to surf Argentina, Uruguay then Chile and Peru!

Tim, I doubt the offer still stands, however I'd love to do some writing for Matador!

I will be blogging my experience

and

I am so freaking excited! :)

Saw 2 walruses chased by those harm less shark things (can't remember what they're called but they're alright apparently) but yeah, generally no sharks

very, very busy breaks. everyone's alright but I would like the heck out if you're good enough to cause problems, you're taking italian mafia blood, mixing it with spanish, putting it in south america, a place downtrodden by the anglosheric world

So - we've just launched these new sites in the Matador network. David Miller, Ian MacKenzie, Ross Borden, Ben Polansky and me, Tim Patterson, along with Ian's wife Karen and his brother Adam, are all pulling all-nighters getting the best content up an looking sweet.

Sometimes we get a little loopy. Here's an inside look at the editing process in Matador Land...

David: it's funny, this guy is a surfer but he writes more like a sociologist

Tim: yeah, he just graduated from UC Berkeley

David: : )

Tim: he's an academic surfer, just like you, hermano

David: now you got me cracking up

To tell you the truth, the more surfers I hang out with, the more I think they're all closet geniuses who have figured out something important about life.

Nice post Quinn - and if there are any other surfers (academic or not) out there who want to write for Matador, shoot me a message.
